about me

Hi! I’m Kayla Sue. I’m a vintage-loving, Miami-obsessed homebody building my dream space one room at a time. I’ve always decorated from a place of chasing nostalgia and being influenced by tropical destinations I’ve visited, none of those destinations ever quite inspired me the way MIAMI did. That first trip in 2018 sparked something in me. The pastel art deco buildings, the 80s lacquer and glossy surfaces, the tropical greenery. Over the past 7 years, I’ve taken many trips to the city and each one has helped me define the aesthetic fully.

I call it MIAMI Tropical Deco.

I’m getting ready for a big move and decorating a new townhouse from the ground up, all through the lens of this style I’ve fallen in love with.

This blog is where I’m sharing that process, along with the finds, ideas, and inspiration that shape my style.

So happy you’re here!
